About Lee Kum Kee
Lee Kum Kee was established in 1888. Oyster Sauce was invented in Nanshui, Zhuhai, Guangdong Province of China when Lee Kum Kee’s founder Mr Lee Kum Sheung lost track of time and over cooked his oyster broth. He noticed that the normally clear oyster soup had turned into a thick, brownish sauce with a fragrant and unique, delicious taste. Oyster sauce is today an essential condiment added to many Chinese dishes.
